Thug life with the Crapos

Visitors!!! Oh how we LOVE visitors!  We had an impromptu visit from the Crapos - who came to watch a Mariner's game.  We were happy to host the fun and games that weekend.  It also turned into a memorable drive to Seattle as both Katie and Shawn were pulled over by the same state trooper - Katie for being a possible suspect in a gasoline theft (her vehicle fit the description of the suspects' exactly!); and us for abandoning a man on the side of the road.  (We had pulled over to wait for Katie who had just been picked up.  We just happened to be about a mile ahead of a random man walking down the side of the freeway.  The officer saw him and saw us pull onto the road, and thought we had ditched him!)  It made for some pretty great times.

We made a quick trip to the Space Needle and then off to the game - where we got a free hoodie and Sam got a game ball!  All and all it was a fun trip, even if it was quick.

and of course, what is a trip to Yakima without a stop at the legend that is Miner's~??  Love it!

Lyv's 50 Miles and Mini Olympics

This girl is Amazing!! Oh, the places she'll go!  She has a fire inside that I can't wait to see where it catches and takes her.

50 Miles this year in mileage club (now she is at 65 at years end).

Gynmnastics!!  The love of Lyv's life.  There is hardly a time when we don't find her turning cartwheels all around the house or bending into a handspring on the couch or the splits on the floor.  Its in her blood, and she is pretty fun to watch.  The gym had its own Mini-Olympics to end the year, and it was so fun to watch her on each of the events.  My personal favorites were bars and floor.  She is a little gymnast in the making.

Mother's Day 2017

I am a lucky mother in deed!  I feel like our family is complete with little Eva joining the crew - as I described to Jack the other day: I have the one who made me a mother (Sam); the one I prayed and longed for (Jack); my first daughter (Lyv); my baby boy (Max); and my baby girl (Eva) - could a mom's life be more complete than that?  I think not.  And not only that those 5 little humans comprise 5 of the 6 spots my heart is made of (one is reserved for their daddy).  I am only complete and happy when they are complete and happy!  I am forever grateful for the opportunity to be a mother in this life, and to experience the kind of love that comes from that sacred relationship.  My heart breaks for those who can't have their own children and for those who have lost children - the heart ache must be eternal.  But I also KNOW that motherhood is the reason that I am here on this earth, and that my goal is to perfect those divine qualities that make the fabric of motherhood.

Two fun one on one moments this month - Cinderella with Lyv & Golden State attire day with Sam!
