Olyvia is 1 month yesterday - she is such a great baby. We all love her, and have felt so blessed to have her in our family. I especially love oooing and awwing over how beautiful she is. She has really chubbed up the past few weeks, and is sleeping really good through the night. Here's a little photo shoot we did and made into birth announcements. I couldn't wait to put her into a tutu.....

Boys say (and Do) the darndest things.....
It has been awhile since I posted a little something about the boys and they are still as funny, frustrating, and crazy as ever.
Sam came in yelling "Mom, I really do have super powers!"
"You have super powers! What are they?"
Sam finally finds me and I see the muddy resemblence of my little boy - "I can go super duper fast on my bike, and even through mud!"
We had a ward service project yesterday and we took the kids to go help clean up yards that needed help. Sam was such a good helper! Really he jumped right in to sweeping, raking, and bagging leaves and grass. It is never too early to start working, and even though I thought it would be a lot of work for me, I was so glad we took him because he really enjoyed the experience.
My Jack is constantly on the move- seriously this boy only stops when I lay him down for a nap (Oh what a glorious time) or bed (oh what a glorious time). I think that this sounds mean, but if you were with this Energizer Bunny all day, every day, you would be thanking your lucky stars too! He thinks he is such a big boy, and yesterday he observed Sam going potty outside. I brought him back and in a minute he had ran back to the scene of the crime, pointing and making Jack noises. I nodded and said, Yep that is where Sam went potty; and took him back to the garage. Again he runs back to the outside potty spot and now he starts pulling down HIS pants ---- oh this boy is so funny!
Jack never cries when we discipline him - whether it is a spanking (yes we spank our kids) or a time out, or whatever he NEVER cries. Today I was trying to pack up some boxes to take to the storage unit and just as fast as I would pack them, Jack was right behind me unpacking them. I finally lost it and turned to him and very angrily said "No, no, no, no,...." His eyes welled up and his bottom lip started to quiver, and he looked at me with those blue sad eyes, and I almost started to cry. I quickly grabbed him and hugged him, and told him how much I loved him. So I guess it is a good thing that Jack never cries, because if he did, I could stand to ever discipline him.

Sam the VAPORIZER
Sam has done it - NO TRAINING WHEELS!! Yay! He was doing this for a few weeks, but wouldn't try his bike. Yesterday he came in and said "Watch what I can do!" (Mind you I tried to get him to do this and he cried and refused to try) I went out and watched as he started all by himself and zoomed down the street! We are so proud of you Sam!
Lyv is getting so big - she is really chunking up now that she is 3 weeks. We're still loving playing "dress up" with her, especially coordinating headbands and bows, and.....
Painting her nails - oh yes, this is for real.

Finally - We need to celebrate the SFHS Cougars who are going to the State Baseball Tourney next week. My brother Chad is the Varsity coach and has been to state with his team every year except one, and won state his first year as coach! We love being involved in Cougar baseball while we've been here - and love the cool Cougar shirts we all get. Here is CHILL and the Chillettes - go Cougs!)

Our Family Is SUPER . . . .
My family gets a big kick out of Sam and his imagination. You never can tell what the day will bring and what we'll all be dressed up as or acting like. Today we are all super hero's with super capes. Watch Out bad guys, the Super Summers are on the job and you're going down..... Super Shawn
We are learning slowing, but surely that three kids are a lot of WORK and a lot of FUN! Lyv is a wonderful baby, and really has been such a blessing. I keep on saying that they told her in heaven she had to be like this in order for her mom and/or Jack to survive each day. Jack is still a little rascal and is too smart for his own good. In the past week I have found him making copies of his toy stingray in Grandpa's office, burying a stapler into Grandma's sack of flour, running to join kids at recess on the other side of the fence from our yard (yikes), and going "commando" during a nap (luckily no accidents with that one). He keeps us on our toes. Sam is such a good helper, and I know I couldn't make it through a day without him. He spends most of the day playing with his cousins, who he loves so much. He finishes up preschool with Mrs. Mandi - and has loved hanging out with "the boys". He is quite the hitter, and has been practicing with his cousins. We're going to put our money on baseball for Sam! Shawn is in NY right now looking for a place to call home for the next three years. I can't wait to see which one he decides on. Our good friends Emily and Eric are being his helpers while he is out there - thanks you guys.

Lyv's Blessing Day
We blessed Olyvia today, and it was a wonderful day. Shawn gave such a sweet blessing, and we were surrounded by our family. My little brother J.D. also blessed his youngest daughter Emmy today, so we had a really great day. Here are a bunch of pictures. I had a little photo shoot with Lyv yesterday in her blessing dress (which is the dress I was blessed in) and the pictures turned out really great. She is such a beautiful girl, and not only that she is a WONDERFUL baby. We love her so much and are again so happy to have her in our family. Thank you to all of our family that have shown us love and support, and who have helped us while we've been here. We love you all, and will really miss you while we are far, far away! J.D. and Emmy
A fun little side note - I made her crib quilt with the cutest material, and we were able to find plates and napkins that had the exact same pattern of the quilt on it (Love Hobby Lobby!) Then my sister Katie had Rachel Hammond make a cake to match the quilt and napkins - and whalla! A perfectly coordinated party.......
