First off this week we have an update on Sam's hair. It had gotten pretty long, though still so cute and curly. As a result, I had lost motivation to get it wet every morning and "do it" (thank heavens I'm not having a girl yet!) So we decided it was time to shave it for the summer. Here's a before, middle, and after shot. Nice Bed Head
We were laughing so hard at this stage of the cut
Two handsomely bald boys!
Second: Sam made a really fun comment to me a few days ago. I was changing into my pjs at night and due to my expanding belly I was showing a little skin. Sam was like "Ew - your belly! Mommy it makes me sad to see your belly!" I laughed so hard. Can you imagine the heartbreak and tears I'm going to have to deal with when I'm 8-9 months??
Finally, last night we went to the YMCA's Oey, Goey Family Night and the kids got to play with silly puddy, gak, shaving cream, and playdough. It was really fun and nice to get dirty somewhere else besides home!
Hope you are all having a great week - until next time.

Boy Oh Boy! Another Boy!
We are so excited we are having another boy!!! I think we both thought it would probably be a girl, but to our pleasant surprise we have another little guy coming our way! This means Sam has a little buddy and we don't have to try to convince of a girl baby, and that I am still the only Princess in the house! The baby has been moving like crazy the past two weeks and I feel so much more confident now that I can feel him. As far as names go, Sam is set on Jack, but we are looking at Crue, Dax, Max, etc. basically anything with one syllable. I am so happy for our little guy, and everything in the ultrasound looked and measured correctly. We feel so blessed. Yea, Yea, Yea for boys!!
I am so impressed with the 3D and 4D ultrasounds. We could see facial expressions and see the baby open and close his mouth. He had his little hand right by his mouth and looked like he was sucking his thumb!!

Rite of Passage - Hard Working Man
Last Saturday Shawn had his Rite of Passage ceremony at school. It is a recognition of the second years medical students transitioning from book work to clinical work. It was really great to see Shawn in his "white coat" and I know he is really excited to start the practical part of school. I just have to take a minute to brag Shawn up, not only does he work his tail off at school (he's done really great!), but he also is willing to work his tail off at home. He's been vamping up our landscaping, and I'll be posting a before and after picture once we can get the flowers planted. He has done an awesome job! Thanks Shawn - I love you!

Sam's Saturday Soup
Have any of you ever heard yourself through your child? I did yesterday when I heard Sam put his bus Bertie in Time-Out for breaking Thomas' train track! Yeah, he really did, and after a few minutes of Bertie cooling down and thinking about what he did, I heard Bertie (AKA Sam) apologize to Thomas for ruining the track! Apparently I must be putting Sam into time-out a lot more lately, and he's memorized the usual dialogue associated with it - Sam makes a great mom to his toys.
Sam was Shawn's little helper outside doing some lawn work. He got a little distracted by the sidewalk chalk and the next thing I know the doorbell is ringing and standing out there with a huge grin is a very blue, chalky Sam. It was so cute!
Let's Go Fly a Kite - for FHE this week we got a Thomas Kite and decided to go fly it. Sam thought it was great, despite the wind, which decided for once to stop blowing. But by some miracle, Sam was able to make his kite fly, enjoy the video.

Sam's Saturday Soup
We decided to go to the zoo during the two hour break between conference sessions. It was a beautiful day outside and the zoo was great, Sam had a wonderful time feeding the goats and the fishes. He loved, loved, loved the tigers! They are great because they come right up to the window and fence. The highlight though by far was on our way out when Sam went to use the bathroom, and then came out with Shawn holding his baseball hat completely wet. Apparently he had leaned a bit too much in the urinal and his hat fell in! Yuck!! Lets just say we'll be washing that about ten times before he wears it again. What is the grossest thing you've had to do for your kids?
These other two pics are from the week - Sam broke out his fireman outfit and put out every fire in the house he could find. He loves riding his bike and this past week we have been able to take full advantage of the warmer temperatures outside.

Vote: Boy or Girl??
We went to the doctor on Tuesday and everything is going great. We found out that we will be able to have our ultrasound on the 22nd of April, so I want to take a vote to see what everyone thinks I'll be having! Then you can either pat yourself on the back for being all knowing or you can throw your hands in the air and ask "Why? Why?" j/k! Don't let the boy's animation throw you off, the girl was supposed to come with that too, but maybe its fate??
People have asked me what I think I'm having, and I don't really feel like I have a deep impression either way. Did any of you know exactly what you were having? So let me know if you are baby psychics.
