Mom & Dad's Big 40th!

40 years ago my parents were sealed for time and eternity in the Idaho Falls Temple.  We celebrated their 40 years of marital bliss Aug. 9th with a BIG BASH!  Mom and Dad wanted to through a party to thank all of there family and friends for their love and support over the past 40 years of marriage and 60 years of life.  They grew up in this community and have made life long relationships here. There is nothing my parents like more (okay my MOM likes more) than a big party! It was a great night filled with family, good friends, good food, and the best part a live band that played the music all 7 of us Hill children have grown to love.
My dad loves music from the 60's and we all grew up listening to the Byrds, the Stones, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, Paul Revere and the Raiders, etc. and so this band and the awesome dancing that resulted was the highlight of the night.  The dancing was so much fun and my mom and dad cut a rug, which was so fun for all of us to see.  I even got a chance to shake my pregnant belly out there, I just couldn't resist!
The boys were in charge of manning the grill! As you can see they smell of BBQ and propane brought out the "man" in them.

We got together early for some family pictures, but due to forest fires (he fights fires), J.D. and his three kids weren't able to make it for the pictures.  We of course also missed having Ryan there for the pictures, though I'm sure he was there in spirit.  He would have enjoyed this night as much as the rest of us.

These two adorable boys wanted to make a Lyv sandwich on the dance floor.  She was having none of that - she needed to be free to shake her groove thing and was fighting bear hug dance position!

The grand finale - Big Ryan taking to the mic and singing "Friends in Low Places" the only country song played that night.  It was awesome!

Looks like so much fun! I heard it was a great time, and that Tom busted a move on the dance floor. Wish we could have been there!
